Mays Garden Cottage is the perfect country retreat for those wanting to explore the many attractions of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Sitting within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and on the door step of the National Arboretum and Badminton estate, home to the world renowned horse trials, this 5 Star Airbnb & Four Star Visit England rated cottage is ideally placed on the edge of the Cotswolds in the Wiltshire village of Sopworth.  Available for a short break or longer holiday at any time of the year.

Ideally suited to a couple or small family, the cottage can accommodate 4 adults in the 2 double bedrooms both of which have a standard double-bed. Please note that access to the bathroom is via both bedrooms.

Having fallen in love with the beauty of the picturesque village of Sopworth and the captivating charm of the Cotswolds, we moved here in 2014. In 2016 we decided to dedicate our efforts to make this charming cottage available to holiday let so everyone can enjoy it. Creating a welcoming homely environment, the cottage offers modern conveniences and many extra little touches to make your stay special. For the little ones, it even has its own stone built playhouse complete with stable door, toy kitchen, table & chairs, chalkboard etc.

Ideally located, Mays Garden Cottage is perfect for exploring the many attractions that this central location has to offer. Enjoy a day in the Roman City of Bath (only eighteen miles away), visit the historic dockyard at Gloucester, stroll around Westonbirt National Arboretum (just four miles away), browse the shops or enjoy a day at the races in Cheltenham (thirty miles), wander around Tetbury (home to Highgrove and just five miles away) or visit Bristol, Malmesbury and the many pretty quintessentially English villages of the Cotswolds. The choices are endless!

For those who enjoy being outside, bring your bike and enjoy cycling the little lanes or lace up your walking boots and take to the Cotswolds hills.

Whatever your interest, the area has an abundance of great days out, from outdoor adventures, to historic houses and gardens, as well as cities that will satisfy both shoppers and historians alike.

We really hope you enjoy your time here and find everything you need to make your stay a memorable one.
